Progress Review and Managing Relapse

Therapy and recovery from depression don’t always occur in a straight line. Sometimes we take a step or two backwards for every bit of ground we gain moving forward. Oftentimes, making progress in therapy can feel like a Sisyphean task. Here are some tips for reviewing progress (because nothing is more reinforcing than seeing how far we’ve come) and maintaining forward momentum in the case of a relapse or momentary backwards slide.
